Default Average age of manual transmission owners

I'm guessing 60s, with a few outliers.

Mid thirties. I bought an automatic 2 door last time around so my wife could drive it. Then she hated it. So this time around I ignored her and got the manual. She likes riding in it so we are both happy.

52 years old
In time I think people will come to realize that manual transmissions are like the Mediterranean diet - an elixier of youth (well I hope so anyways )

Didn't vote as the F Type isn't a manual, but my modified Miata is and I'm coming up to 50.

lol really... 10-29? Unless you're including model cars, that might be a little young for car ownership.

I own a Subaru manual and am 27, but i don't think you're looking for other brands.

Other than a few dark years here and there, I have always had a manual trans in at least one of my cars. The only manual car I have now is my 72 TR6, which lets just say is not as old as I am.

64 chronological although closer to 46 in outlook. Ordered my 2016 manual as soon as the book opened in April 2015 and according to my dealer who put in as a Priority Vehicle, I got one of the first ones coming into the US. No idea if it's true.

I liked the 8 speed when I drove it in a 2015 but knew when they announced the manual that was the way to go for me. No regrets!

Same situations as mine, although I drove earlier ones too

2013 (2014 model): I like it, but what about a coupe? I've heard rumors ...
2014 (2015 model): The coupe is stunning but what about a manual. I've heard rumors ...
2015: They just announced a manual two days ago. Take my deposit and let me know when we can put the order in. I need to figure out specs and color ...

Does my 1990 Mazda Miata count? You didn't say . (Come to think of it; or my 2006 BMW 325xi Wagon). 2 out of 4 cars a MT. Not a bad %). By the way, 60, going on 61, going on 26 (age merely a number. Nothing more, nothing else).

We can compare VINs in Hellertown to see who got the first one.

We're all-inclusive here.

Looks like the stereotype of MT drivers being bearded geezers needs adjusting. Mostly.

Yes, I believe your initial guess was based on an N=1 set of observations leaving you with statistically insignificant results and flawed conclusion based on an enigma.

I would never consider you statistically insignificant. You just have a huge...
standard deviation.
