Avoiding False Stop Starts?

Avoiding False Stop Starts?
I have an auto F-Type S Convertible. I regularly drop the roof. When I arrive at my destination I brake to a halt and the auto-stop usually cuts the engine. Typically I then want to close the roof, knock it into P, apply the Parking brake, remove my seat belt and get out - all ideally without the engine re-starting itself. However often as soon as I apply the Parking brake or move the transmission to P, the engine will re-start automatically. Is there a fool-proof sequence for this that will avoid the engine re-starting unnecessarily? If so can anyone tell me what it is?
Here's hoping...
Geoff.

There are many ways to avoid this:
1) Press the eco-mode button to turn it off
2) Paddle downshift as you are stopping, which will temporarily disable eco-mode
3) Shift the lever into sport mode
4) Select Dynamic mode
5) Put your top up just before arriving as it works while moving below 30 mph.
Choose any of the above.
Since I was usually driving in either dynamic or sport and using the paddles, I never saw eco-mode unless I was crawling in stop and go traffic and wanted to let it operate. When entering a parking lot or my driveway at home, I put the top up while moving and before reaching my parking spot.

As we recently discussed in another thread, if you have ECO on, come to a stop, put it in 'P', start raising the roof, and then unlatch your seat belt, the car may completely shut off without finishing raising the roof.
Can't say that I recall the engine restarting like what you describe, though, like Foosh, I seldom use ECO.
