Default Battery Disconnect

I'm on reading overload help me with a quick answer if you know.

Does disconnecting the battery for the PCM to 'relearn' driving styles?

I've seen conflicting reports.

I guess it's just a battery disconnect...never hurts to try?

Won't hurt to try. Whether the ECM reverts to the default unlearned tune when reset like that, I do not know.

I would guess that it stores that info in solid state memory. I am doubtful that a simple disconnect will reset it, however a scan tool at the dealer can most likely clear that info!

Just guessing....

A scan tool will not reset that type of stored information.

A hard reset will do that on my car do not know about your car.
