Yep, common issue. After using the OBD port, disconnect the battery to reset

So Jaguar never fix the problem yet....?
What are the chances of getting the Low Battery Warning after connecting to the OBD port ?

It's generally assumed they will never, ever fix it. They aren't particularly thrilled about people plugging things *into their own car*, but it is true that cars are becoming less "ours", every day. "If you can't open it, you don't own it" is a great line in the computer world, but it's starting to apply to cars. I mean, leasing companies can remotely shut down cars, now. So can cops, in some areas (I believe).

ANYHOO.... that's all to say they aren't going to fix it. It glitches the electrical system into not shutting off the door lock LED and hazard light.

It's a bummmmmmer. But the electrical systems are so complex nowadays, I can't imagine them being able to figure it out, even if they wanted to?

Helen Wait is the top technical coordinator at JLR. She will do nothing. Adapt; just about every car has some odd flaw(s).

So far, knock wood, I have not run into this OBD issue and I've used a number of OBD scanners and the VAP tuning gizmo. When my car goes to sleep the hazard triangle on the console goes dark...assuming that means all is well ;-)

Try as I might, I can't get the energy management module to go wonky. I've tried all combinations of equipment, sequence of plug-in and unplug vs. ignition on and off, but no battery drain issue. For me, the "Jaguar Vehicle Enhancement Program" totally resolved the issue.

yeah ... looks like they probably can't fix it even if they want or they just don't want people to *** "their car"

However , would be weird even with manufacturer's obd still odds to get this error .

To unhingd :

so where can we get that "Jaguar Vehicle Enhancement Program" ?

i had my computer upgraded already when i doing my oil change in local dealership .

This is what I have:

It's quite possible if the car is leased, some may never see this notice.

Before, every time I attached a data logger or handheld tuning device, the battery would drain sufficiently by the next day to cause a low battery alarm. You can tell quickly whether this will occur if the hazard warning switch remains lighted for more than 10-15 minutes after you shut down the car. Since the "upgrade", I have experienced no such issue.

I'm jealous. I have an appointment tomorrow to address my fault AC compressor, I'll see if they can do this while they are at it. I have a Navdy HUD system that requires the OBD port, maybe I will finally get to use it.

My service manager is researching to see if the Vehicle Enhancement Program can apply to my 2015 F-Type S. Just purchased an OBD2 scanner for fun and on-the-road quick Dx/Rx................

I believe this is the relevant one: SDD149_03_V267J_V3 (software update 149_03)

I referenced your number to the dealer today. They stated:

"I let my foreman know about the OBD update. It looks like the software you referenced is for our Jaguar/Land Rover diagnostic computer, and not a software update for a vehicle. I’ll definitely keep you in mind when I see any news from Jaguar."

So other than whatever this is, what else *could* be updated. I could pay for the maps update (nope), ask if there's been a stereo update (but if it ain't broke.....)

Or should I just assume a formal notice like this is literally a massive update to the car, and I should just go with that?

Will it alter the cars joy joy in any way?
