I just bought a 2013 Mercedes Benz SLK 55 AMG roadster. I bought it because the price was extremely attractive. My preference would have been an F-type V8. I can't disclose what i paid for as I agreed I would not. The SLK AMG had a sticker price of $96,000 cdn.

The SLK AMG comes fully loaded performance, premium and sky package. I don't expect it to be as agile as the F-type or as fast as the V8. It comes with a naturally aspired 5.5 V8 with 420hp. Any thoughts on the AMG car? If I don't like it I'll sell it and get a used F-type at a good price when i find one at my price point.

 

Your 3rd gen SLK has transcended the girly label of the first two (they were still fun to drive) and is the only MB to have that fabulous power plant without the turbos. As a result, it has superior linear power delivery and sounds better too (typical, any 911 sounds better vs turbo big brother). Car magazines love your car.

your SLK looks better than the new SL was lost its elegant beauty for poorly styles front and rear ( although it's a great drive too)


maybe my biz plans to grow beyond my 10 year steady state will have achieved results allowing me to buy your SLK when you are through with.

The F type has a very high belt line vs Porsches and at 5'9" I don't like door sills at my shoulder when sitting. But these are all fun choices
