Default Best snow tires for awd F-type R?

anyone have experience putting snows on their awd f-type? I need to buy some and have been trying to figure out which would be ideal. Supposedly, the swedes have a snow tire that is the king of snow tires.

Your choices are few. Last time I checked there were Pirelli Sottozero and Nokian Hakkapeliitta which is probably what you were thinking of.

I purchased a set of 19" OEM rims from another F-Type and after 2 seasons with the Sottozeros can say they're great. On warm days near the end of the season, traction seems to get a bit greasy feeling around 50 degrees but below that no complaints. They plow through snow like a champ, although in deeper snow I drive the beater because of the limited clearance and higher chances of some bonehead slamming into me. On dry/cold the performance is about 80% of what the P-Zeros give in warmer weather for comparison. They've done everything I've asked and similar to the P-Zeros are very predictable up to the limit and definitely communicate before they let go. If the Nokians were comparably priced I'd try them next time out of curiosity but would have no problem buying these all over again because they've been awesome.

Word on the street is the Nokians are the cat's meow but they were like unicorn blood when I needed tires and nobody had them.

I've had the Sottozeros on my 5.0 V8 XF for 6 winters now. In the North East USA. They are terrific - I drive it year round and it's rear wheel drive. Plenty of drives in the snow and ice. So I'd expect them to be stellar on an AWD F Type

I don't drive the F Type in winter so it has summer only tyres

Heard great things about the Nokian too

My Ftype is parked when it rains, I couldn’t imagine driving in the snow! Bold! I did drive the car in the Snow setting when The engine was having an issue!

Very interested to see more replies and solutions on this as well. I’m looking for a set of snow tires and so far the consensus seems to be to swap out 20’s with a set of OEM 19’s.

Always a good idea to have plenty of run-off available! Looks like great fun ....

Ski resorts are notorious for having wide open lots... and snow.
