Default Best visual design feature on the F-Type

If you stand just ahead of the front tire, looking across the very front of the car, the front's upper lip subtly overhangs the radiator intake, like the car is going to just suck the asphalt off the road. Callum did this with the XK too. Love it.

Of course, standing in that same place and looking back toward the rear of the car, those haunches are sweet, particularly with concave wheels.

You know what, the whole car is gorgeous.

Yep it sure is. I get compliments each time I drive it! Granted it is 8 months old and I have 1,200 miles on it!

The F-Type is a cornucopia of thrilling design details. That overhang angle in front is also done slightly in the back. It gives the car a more aggressive lean, and elongates the line running from the hood to the back, enhancing the overall sleekness.

The car's stance, with the haunches and the mouth, evokes the prowling cat.

At some point it might be fun to start a thread on the different design details folks notice. Some of the ones I like are:
  • The rear view mirror on the coupe is shaped to echo the shape of the rear hatch window, so they are framed concentrically.
  • The various J's embedded around the car (J-blade headlights, side vents, door sills, etc)
  • The protruding inside B-pillar in the coupe, which intentionally breaks the elegance of the interior to remind you it's a sports car.

I could go on for a long time...am still discovering details!

While the car is simply stunning from every angle,it's the rear styling that does it for me...especially the rear 3/4 angle...Ian Callum nailed it there, just like he did on the Aston Martin Vantage coupe.

As you said the F-Type is beautiful from any angle , but my favorite view is the rear. . It's the same with the XK. Every time I park my XK when I walk behind it I stop and admire the rear of the car. Such beautiful lines. When I had my Rhodium Silver XK a man approached me one day and told me it was the sexiest car he'd ever seen.

Gotta agree on the rear as well. The aggressive width of the Jag's overfenders framing those LED tail lights is darn impressive. Top props there. (In unabashed fact, every time I fill up I find myself taking a few steps back just to take in those haunches!)

When I visited my folks last summer, my Dad said he had previously considered a Dusenberg to be the prettiest car he had ever seen, but he though mine maybe beat it out.

I thought that was pretty cool.

Drove by the local dealer today and I noticed they starting displaying the F-Type Coupes with the rear facing the street so when you drive by that's what you see first...brilliant!

Yep, that's a smart move. The rear is the best view and the view most people have as the F-Type will be in front of them. zoom zoom

Not the best of the design features, but I find the reverse lights very cool nonetheless. Like how they're at the bottom, which I think is rather unique/unusual.

That's actually a great place to locate them because that's where they'll do the most good...
