Default The Birmingham Job

It's like The Italian Job, except it's engines and not gold.

Nice to have a few spare engines sitting on the shelf, just in case...

I'm retired from law enforcement. I was a detective, 23 years. There aren't enough police in Europe. If I was a criminal, I would do my business in Europe, not America. You stand to have a much better chance of getting away with a heist or scam in the UK or any other European country. In Europe it's like taking candy from a child. Zero resistance or opposition.

At $5K per engine, that would be 1000 engines, or 500 per trailer. Sounds way too much. Must be the gold-plated engines...

Default Higher cost ....

I think those engines cost much more than five grand a pop. The V8 motors and especially the supercharged engines are probably in the $40,000 plus range.

Even at most internal dealer rates replacement of a V6 or V8 range from about $28000 to about $35000

I finally know why Unhinged wasn't at all concerned about blowing up his engine with tuning. He always had a plan.

If you're claiming loss, you'll use the absolute full-boat retail figure. So ...

On hundred ... BILLION ... dollars.

Hope they are not all left hand drive engines. I've been looking on eBay and no sign of parts yet.

Kidding..

Well, that makes the math work. Had no idea these engines would be that expensive.

I'll be more careful...
