Default Black Pack - Why Not Also the Badge

I find it odd that the Black Pack doesn't come with the a black Jaguar emblem in the back. Tempted to Plasti Dip it. Anybody thought of doing this? Any pics? This guy did it to his 911 and I think it looks very good. Apparently plasti dip just feels off when you're bored with it.

I've been considering it myself. Did it to my Range Rover letters and it came out fine.

I plasti dipped the rear emblem on my white vert'. The black emblem looked much better than chrome on white car.

If I had a Polaris I would do it.
You're right about the lettering... Seems like an oversight.

I'm 100% doing this after I get xpel/opticoat done.
Also doing a cf wrap on the mirrors, and if that looks bad will switch to black.

Going to try to do the rear R badge so that the colors remain, but the rest black.

Doing the cat is arguably even a safety feature - in both the convertible and the coupe, I've had the spoiler go up on a sunny day, hit the cat, and blind me in the review mirror - hugely annoying, if not outright dangerous.

Don't like cats anyway.

But, having a black cat in your rearview mirror might be unlucky.

With bad luck, my engine may break - wouldn't want that.

You might want to contact forum member Mike@Jaguar and let him know about this, sounds as if it could be very hazardous in some conditions.

I'm interested in doing this. Also, I'd like the S' badge removed from front and rear as the green and red colours don't look good imo. Can anyone recommend any good auto shops in the SF bay area? My dealer won't do this for me

I did the the cat in white plasti dip:

Black Pack - Why Not Also the Badge-2014-07-26-18.22.12.jpg

The letter is a PITA and I dont have the patience to do it properly. Think you need to take the letters off, plasti dip them, then put them back. Otherwise the edges will never be very good. Also I would have to the F-Type and the R to match. Too lazy.

Don't think I really like the white cat. I'm just an OEM type of guy. Probably take it off in a week or so.

I would love to go all black emblems on mine with black side vents. I know I can order the black side vents, but having to take the emblems off and paint them is a pain like you said. Do you think if I heat the emblems they would come off and stick back on again?

A little heat and some dental floss and theyll come off. Guess you'd need some paint safe non permanent adhesive to put them back on.
