Default Black / sooty tailpipes

The outside pipe on each side of the car is caked in soot - is this normal for the V8S, and any tips on what use to clean them?

Pretty typical. Clearly you've been driving in dynamic mode a bunch. A wet rag/towel does a pretty good job.

Mother's Metal Polish (paste) and 0000 steel wool will make it look new in a couple of minutes

Every F-Type seems to do this, so I guess that makes it normal!

I use Meguiars ScratchX, sees to remove it very easily and shines the Stainless steel as well without being too harsh.

When you wash your car you can also just use a sponge and soap and get it clean. A magic eraser also works very easily.

+1 If you keep up w/ the soap and water routine every week or so, you won't have to go through the huge production portrayed in the video above.

+2 for me. The only stuff I use (once every 6 months). Otherwise, just a damp towel.
