Default Black Split Key Ring for Sto 'N Sho

I ordered some black split key rings that are the same guage and diameter as the stainless split key ring that came with the Sto 'N Sho, in an attempt to make the ring a bit less visible under the bumper.

Unfortunately, I had to order 50 of them. If anyone would like a few, PM me a shipping address and I'll throw some in an envelope and mail them out to you, on me.

If you would prefer to order them yourself, I got them from Amazon here:

Below is a picture of what they look like:

I noticed this too. Thought about just covering it with some black tape, but this is a most elegant solution.

I've channeled my OCD into work (software engineer, formerly quality, now build/release). That takes most of my energy (and pays for the car) so I don't obsess quite so much on other things. Particularly things I use every day. The F-Type is now in that category.

Quick update -

I've replied to all PMs sent thus far. I'm waiting until end of day today for requests, and I will ship them out to everyone tomorrow.

That's an incredibly nice thing for you to do going to all that trouble. I was afraid you'd likely have quite a number of requests to fulfill.

If there's a return address, something nice will be coming back your way.

Thanks for the kinds words, Foosh. I'm happy to do it!

There have been quite a few requests, luckily I've got plenty. Depending on how many more requests come through, it looks like I'll be able to ship 3-5 to each person so everyone will have some spares.

I'm also glad to see, based on the number of requests, that I'm not the only one bothered by the shiny key ring. Whew, I'm not crazy!

LOL, no you're not crazy, but I rarely see the silver ring, which is hidden by the front plate. I live in Maryland, work in DC, and those two jurisdictions are extremely OC about front plate enforcement with big fines. Fortunately, the plate now looks decent in the Sto-N-Sho location.

I do take it off from time-to-time just to admire the look, and it's very noticeable then. I'll be very happy to have a black ring for those special occasions.

If you still have available I would like to take you up on your offer. I was going to paint the ring but your solution is so much better. Being fairly new to the site I need to figure out how to pm you. Thanks for thinking of others with the same ocd! !!
