seems fine to me, but my car never really gets that dirty since I don't DD or have to deal with bad weather.

You can make your badges gloss black with plasti-dip, but it is tough to do right. You have to be very careful when doing the black layers to make sure it stays absolutely smooth before you add the glossifier. If you're not perfect, you'll get a semi-gloss look, if you do poorly it will just look uneven.

When I blacked out my badges, I did 5 coats of black plasti-dip and 2 coats of glossifier. I thought I did a pretty good job on keeping the black smooth, but it still came out semi-gloss. I still like how it came out, but it could have been more glossy. I've considered doing it again to try to be better with evening out my coats better, but I've not done it yet.

I ended up pulling the plasti-dip off my F-TYPE and AWD-R badges though, as they just didn't look right in black. I left the leaper and JAGUAR badges in black though, as I felt those look best in black.

One thing to keep in mind, even after the plasti-dip dries, it will still look a bit wet and remain slightly tacky due to the glossifier.

As long as you don't scrape or rub the badges hard when washing them you should be fine.
