Default Bluetooth connection to a particular iPhone

I've never had a Bluetooth connection issue with any vehicle in the past. However, I have found that, when I'm on a phone call with my current iPhone 14, the Bluetooth connection sounds scratchy and unreadable on the other person's end of the call. Everything else seems to work fine via Bluetooth with this phone. It's just the other person on a call can't understand me.

However, when I switch off the Bluetooth and connect the phone with a USB cable (via CarPlay), all is well. And, when I (Bluetooth) connect another iPhone or a Samsung phone, all is well.

I changed cables, swapped USB ports, tilted my head left, right, and forward, etc. ...nothing helped with this one particular phone.

After reading through other threads, I see where Bluetooth software can sometimes be updated. But, not sure it's really necessary...maybe it's just time to get a new phone...or, not worry about it.

Edited for spelling error

From what you have said the problem is obviously your iphone14 and not the car. Try updating the phone to the latest software if not already done. Turn off Bluetooth on the iPhone then do a hard reset and then turn Bluetooth back on . Goodluck

I use Android Auto via wireless with a adapter that plugs into a USB port that I do my calls, texting, music, etc through. So no more plugging my phone into the car for Android Auto every time I drive my F-Type, same adapter works great in my wife's 2020 Subaru Outback. For charging my phone I use the 12 volt plug with USB.

Below is a Amazon link of the adapter for Android Auto and see they make a Apple Car Play adapter; posted a link for it too.

Apple Car Play
