Brand new member here. Awaiting delivery of my 2017 F-type V6 S convertible. 18,000 miles. Bought it sight unseen from photos only. I’m wondering if anyone owns or has seen the color combo in the photo. How did it look in person? I think it looks great in the photos. Thanks for the input!
Congratulations on your F-Type! I've never seen that color in person and have actually only ever seen one other F-Type in my area, so I can't comment. But with such beautiful styling, I think you could paint it whatever color you wanted and it would still be gorgeous. I took mine to my parents a few days after purchase and my mom said "that's the most beautiful car I've ever seen".
4 days post delivery it is now in my garage - it looks gorgeous in person. Really happy with it so far. Totally impressed by how much better and enjoyable the ride is compared to the Vette I traded in. I gave up a little speed / acceleration but this is plenty fast. No regrets with the trade - probably should have done it sooner. By the way, I have learned a lot from following this forum - thanks everyone.
Jdwoody17- As someone who just sold my (the offer was just too good to pass up) 2009 Garage Queen convertible Vette with 9,600 miles and ordered a 2022 F-Type I'm gald to hear you mention the better ride of the F-Type. I can live with under 1/2 a second slower in the Jag. Enjoy yours as I will not likely see mine until July 2022
That’s exactly how I felt. My 2013 vette was also a garage queen. It was a beautiful car, the .60th anniversary edition 427. I figure it was about 1 sec faster 0-60 (3.7 vs 4.7) but who cares. As I’ve reached my 60th birthday this is no longer important to me. The jag has so much more class and refinement. Much better build quality and much more rare on the streets as older corvettes are now everywhere. The car just feels solid when you drive it. I’m sure you will experience the same once you get yours.
