Hi I belonged to the jag lovers site when I owned a 63 e type coupe tremendously helpful and very knowledgeable. I just bought a my16 f type s coupe today. Will be delivered tomorrow to my home, oh happy days. I’ve been looking for months at xkr and then f type s. I decided on the s because most had existing warranty, usually for 19 months or longer.. The
f type s is also drop dead gorgeous. Color is storm grey with brogue/ivory stitching, performance seats. Test drove it today, checked all interior switches, had car on lift checked undercarriage and tires. Off a three year lease, locally owned and serviced, one owner, long history with owning jaguars. Replacing two rear tires, flushing and replacing brake fluid
( every three years ) and putting a tire repair package in trunk. I had to fly to Iowa for my 63 coupe and I made a conscious decision that if i found the car I wanted, with 90% of my boxes ticked off and within 100 miles, I would not hesitate to do a PPI buy it. I consider myself lucky that this jag was under 100 miles, done deal! I plan on using this website often and asking questions as they arise, I’ve found this site very helpful in my decision, what to look for and problem areas.

Thanks for your responses. Took the bride of 55 years for her first drive, she absolutely loves it❤️. She has been riding in a 63 e type coupe (sold) for 21 years (52,000 miles) and she hands down is in in love with this F type. When I was contemplating a F type I showed her different color combinations for her input and showed her YouTube vids. Her comments on the F type was what I hoped for and it was in, as they say. We both looked at F types in many colors and interiors, and decided on our new F type. When the jaguar arrived in our driveway and she had the opportunity to actually see it, sit in it and take in how gorgeous it is, she was blown away. That’s saying something coming from having a E type for 21 years. I expect many years and driving miles in this jag as now hot weather will no longer factor in our trip. We will be at Watkins Glen for the vintage weekend as we have been going for 20 years. I will rely on this forum for questions I may have and your driving experience.
