Default Brakes squeak

My super performance brakes started squeaking, only 4500 miles, is this normal?

I don't think there is anything wrong with your brakes. My best guess: take it to dealer, they will put a bit of CRC Disc Brake Quiet or similar behind the pads and life will be good again. It's a pretty easy DIY job too if you've ever changed brake pads, but I bet dealer will do it free. It may also just go away as sudden as it came after using a bit more.

My super performance brakes have never squeaked. 13,500 miles so far. I do notice a little wear on the rotors and in terms of stopping power they are about 90% as strong as when new. I might be ready for some different pads.

They may be braken.

Meanwhile, Disc Brake Quiet is your friend. Should cure all (unless they really are broke).

i have an occasional squeal at low speeds too ... however, its never consistent when it happens. next time i bring the car to the dealer i'll ask them to do this as well. Thanks!
