Brand new infotainment
#21
Unlike newer units, infotainment in my F-type has a surround with physical buttons. I don't actually have to touch the screen in most circumstances. It also has a physical "turn screen off" button. Pushing it is part of my normal startup procedure now: dynamic mode on, start and stop off, screen off.

Certainly more off topic, but I have found something worse than the "man bun" -= its the "man-bun in-progress" where like 4 individual hairs are squeezed tightly in a hair device to give the appearance of a bun. It' s like the in between phase of the mullet - the bangs are easy, but growing the perfect rear mane takes time and cultivation.

In the UK the required accompaniment to driving gloves used to be a flat cap. Baseball caps now seem to have replaced the flat cap for all but the hardiest of traditionalists ....

Yes, I didn't realize I was missing the ambient lighting until checking my VIN in Topix. Dealer found problem with the CJB and replaced it under warranty.

It might be an age difference, I personally would prefer the wider screen on the new car just because it isn't a 4:3 ratio low-resolution screen. I almost never touch that screen when using the car. If the F type had a similar design like what the last-gen Aston got(fold down when not using), I probably wouldn't bother. Also not quite wanting to put the android aftermarket widescreen in just because it isn't OEM. I checked with an XJ thread where the dude replaced the old screen with the new one. He said it wouldn't be possible with an older F type due to hardware. But, if anyone would dig in and see what parts the F type needs to do this it would be really nice.
