Default British Racing Green

I didn't want to hijack Balboa's thread on the Bonnet Chrome Louver Covers but the scarcity of new F Types to actually see what the color choices look like in person makes it somewhat difficult to choose one.

Last night while searching YouTube I found a couple of interesting videos. The first is the history of British Racing Green as a vehicle color. Good trivia regarding how it was first chosen. The second video is for a 2020 F Type P300 in BRG that gives a very good idea of what it looks like on a car, particularly at the very end where they show a close up of the metallic properties of the paint.

I picked up this gem about a month ago with 24k miles on it. 2018 F-Type R Dynamic. The color is stunning and I love the carbon fiber roof.

Indeed, you picked up a gem ! The color and the V6 engine are the best options I guess in the long run. As long as you don't have to pay the taxes we do.. .. enjoy

Beautiful spec, the British racing green suits the F-Type so well. The carbon roof is indeed stunning,
I have it on mine too. Not many have it specced with the carbon roof I think (except for the SVR's).

A P300 with a carbon roof? that has got to be one of a kind!

I love BRG, but couldn't get the F Type in it since my wife has it on her F Pace.

Whats wrong with matching colors? Nearest I could get to my Ultra Blue F-Type was Loire Blue for the F-Pace.

There were no other "blues" then, so I was left feeling blue..

Yes! Probably only a few on the P300, but I like it. I like the panoramic roof, but was thinking I would leave it closed most of the time (during summer).

But you're in Belgium - you don't get much sun!

Here is my F-type in SVO BRG. I did not expect it to have metallic flakes when I ordered it but in certain light they are not noticeable. You can't go wrong with BRG on a Jaguar.

When next to a vintage Jaguar the colors look very similar.

She wouldn't let me! Wanted all the glory of BRG to herself. But alas, I love FSO and now couldn't imagine my car another color.

Good fun !!

I would love to have FSO too, but not as long as I live in the Netherlands and drive a car with a Dutch plate.. .. all assume you choose the color to glorify royalty or the national soccer team,

while for real I couldn't care less...

I love the BRG. Got it with the ebony/ sienna tan seats. MY19 R. It’s cool how it can seem to be different shades depending on the cleanliness level of the car and the amount of sun hitting it.

Default I love BRG

BRG has always been one of my favourite car colours, so I was delighted when I bought my Sovereign back in 2011. Two dreams come true, the car and the colour.

Really funny : I have been tempted recently to buy exactly that model just to get the color ! My wife does not want it : the F-Type, F-Pace and a BMW for four persons... ..we don't drive enough.

But I also LOVE it.. .. enjoy !
