I installed the CTEK unit on my 2021 F Type to the bus bar and grounded it to the same bolt on the floor that the black battery cable was attached to. I also ordered the accessory extension cable from CTEK as it is longer than the factory supplied cable and allows a bit more slack. I bored a hole in the bottom of the storage bin insert that was just large enough for the connector to pass through. When not using the CTEK I just tuck the connector back down into the storage bin and slide the bin cover back over it.

The accessory extension cables can be ordered with either M6 or M8 ring lugs. The M8 size I ordered is still a bit large but a better fit than the M10 eyelets that the standard supplied cable has.

Default Dealer Adice

Hi,
I've been following this with great interest. In the past, I always used put the positive C-Tek wire on the positive battery post and the negative, on the negative post. I can see moving the negative to the ground where the ground on the battery goes. I've also considered connecting the wires to that block. I spoke with two different dealers. One where I live in Maryland and another in West Palm. I feel the West Palm dealership has a better service department as they certainly see more of the cars there. Both dealers recommended against using the block and said I should clamp the C-Tek directly to the battery. I'm wondering why they would say that given all the posts that say otherwise is just as acceptable.
Thanks

Not sure about the rationale for the dealer recommendation other than that is how they "plug" the cars in at the showroom.
It is simpler for them as a temporary method and it is easier to remove clamps than to undo hard connections.
Personally, I have the CTek hard wired in th engine compartment.
It works better for me. I drive in forwards and the engine bay is closer to my garage electrical outlet.
IMO, it does not matter where/how you connect provided it charges.

I am lucky enough to have an electrical outlet on the side wall of my garage so it is pretty easy to connect to the pigtail that sticks out of the floor of the hatch. I bought the accessory mounting bracket from CTEK and a couple of cleats used for tying down rope at my local hardware store and I can keep things tidy when the CTEK is not being used.
