Do you mean the actual seat belt? I found that putting a seat belt shoulder 'pad', a soft square of material fastened with velcro keeps the belt portion from rubbing on the seat.

Here is the link to the ones I bought, Target may not still have them, but if you Google it, any number of options come up.

Default Cabin noise

Hi everyone, a update on cabin noise. I was experiencing a loud whining sound and didn’t want to prejudice your responses. Well I had the car in for evaluation today at Paramus Jaguar and I had some noise recording on my cell. He heard the recording and we went for a drive, or so I thought. Exiting the Jaguar lot he immediately said go back, he heard the whine, probably differential needs work. Appointment for further evaluation, I have extended warranty from Jaguar so I should be ok. I’ll keep everyone updated. I know there is another thread on a whining noise which I will respond.

Update JLR approved replacement of my differential with a new one. Should be in tomorrow and I'll update after I had a chance to drive her.

Default My 2018 F-Type R-Dynamic AWD coupe is WAY loud

I can’t understand why my 2018 F-Type is so much louder than either of my previous 2015 and 2016 F-Type S. The noise level in those cars wasn’t bad, even when activating the loud button. The ambient noise level in our 2018 - regardless of road surface - is almost comparable to that we experienced in my wife’s 2020 Toyota Supra. Now when driving/riding in our 2018 F-Type my wife and I both have to yell at each other when speaking. Could it be the 20 inch wheels and or the AWD system in our 2018 that cause the vastly increased ambient noise? Both of our previous F-Type S’ were RWD and were equipped with 19 inch wheels. And both had PZeros as OEM tires until I replaced them with plus sized Conti DWS06 tires which were noticeable quieter (also, softer in ride and handling).

The windows seals are very good instead, they seldom rattle.
The flapping noise you are referring to is adhesive failing on the rubber seals that run along the sides of the hatch area. For me, it was going above 75-80mph. The wind will catch under the rubber seals and cause it rattle/flap. I was able to easily lift the seal with a finger. I circled the affected areas in the photo below For me it was passenger rear seal that was flapping the most but I did the below fix to both sides.

1 Get some blue painters tape
2 Apply tape where the seal touches the body
3 Go for drive
4 Noise should be gone
5 Remove tape. Get some clear silicone and apply a few dots along under the seal
6 Press firmly down on seal to ensure the silicone adheres to the body
7 Apply painters tape over seal so that silicone adheres and cures
8 Remove tape after 24 hours

I doubt that the AWD would make things noisier but the larger wheels and OEM PZeros sound like pretty probable causes to the increased noise. Looking forward to the day when I've worn out my PZeros and put something better (and quieter!) on.

Ok as to cabin noise since dif was replaced, 35 mile drive home home on Rt 17 north and thruway north very quiet and enjoyable to drive. No sport mode and exhaust normal, comparable to my Subaru Outback. Variable 30-80 mph.

The standard fit Pirelli’s are dreadful! Not only uncomfortable but very noisy!
I switched to Nexen tyres and the ride improved dramatically. A bonus was the huge drop in tyre noise. All tyres have db ratings and Pirelli’s are at the top end and 3db louder than the Nexens

A 3 dB change yields a 100% increase in sound energy and just over a 23% increase in loudness.!

can I suggest you download a db meter and report min and max levels?
we had a Porsche Macan previously and the difference is negligible

Somewhat of an exaggeration. My old Pirelli's were not noisy and didn't ride bad either. I replaced them with Conti DWS 06 Plus The Conti's are smoother, but again new tires are going to be softer than 8 year old tires. Plus I don't track my car.

unfortunately you changed to a tyre with same noise and comfort rating so you wouldn’t have noticed a difference.
It’s subjective, but I noticed a huge difference and the figures seem to explain why
