Default California Emissions OK?

Since I'm on a roll of asking dumb questions: I'm assuming since the F-Type R is sold in California that it meets California emissions yes? My DMV asked that today while registering....

Thanks!

It would be a safe bet to assume so ;-)

Yes it is. I had to go to Vegas to pickup my car and register it in CA brand new. Even for brand new cars CA DMV wants smog certificate. What I found out is they haven't updated the laws. All new cars these days are legal in all states. They no longer make different cars for different emission requirements. But state laws are slow to change. So that's why people think CA laws are different when no really, just laws haven't been updated.

Good stuff. Thanks. In WA if your car is CA emissions compliant there is no need for a smog check. One less thing to pay for!
