Well that was the first strike, the second was I am replacing the coolant pipes with upgraded aluminum pipes and they would not do it...and would only replace with plastic factory pipes. As an aside the mechanic is not who I was talking to, it was the shop "service writer". Finding a shop that knows about Jagwire is hard enough IMO, knowing how to say the word and correcting a customer IMO prevents any vetting of the actual person with a wrench.
Of course I have worked in many shops, in the past...and from what I have seen a qualified mechanic won't tolerate BS from the company he or she works at.

My independent jag mechanic is very knowledgeable about the issues and potential issues with my 2011 XK...Priced reasonably and invaluable for any owner. If he wants to call it a Jagwire, I'm ok wit dat.
