I would think it would take a little over 500 horsepower to hit 200mph in the V6 but I think its possible. I think the V6 is perfectly capable of making over 500 horsepower. All it will take is $$$. I have the V6 with Velocity AP converters and a tune and my car probably makes around 425 crank horsepower. I think with a smaller pulley and a couple other things it would make over 500 to the crank. I hope one of us on here gets to find out lol.

500hp is so achieve-able on our v6 and i think that all it takes to get to 200mph. Lets digest this out a bit. The basic F-type is 3477lbs, the v6 is already making 425 with just a tune and sport cats, now imagined headers, more boost, 500hp is not hard at all. Aerodynamically this car is proving to hit 200mph, im not sure if anything is different with the SVR in terms of under panel improvement, but if needede, parts are there to turn it into an SVR aerodynamically. Now with 500hp, suspension, lighter wheels and michelin pilot SS, rear wing, im very confident it will do 200. A good comparision is a 2004 Vanquish S, 520bhp at 4100lbs and it hit 200mph.

Depends and what you want to hit at 200mph.
The two pulleys and VAP tune alone will get you to 450+hp. The headers and sport cat down-pipe may get you from there half way to 500hp. VAP can also set the speed control at the 320 kph max (200rpm). If you are driving an MT however, the rev-limiter will hold you to 190mph. VAP would have to raise the rev limiter to 7200 rpm. This, however, would not be an issue with the AT. At anything less than 500-550hp, (crank) I'm guessing you'd still might not get to 200.

No need to rev that high. 500hp is piece cake with today's technology. Somebody in here will crack 500hp soon. My 08 bmw 335i made a hair over 500hp on stock turbos. Others bmw guys made 660whp on stock block with just head gasket and bigger single turbo upgrade, on pump gas.

As others mentioned, you need to get the speed limiter removed. My first Honda s2000 was modified. 2.0 liter 4 banger with a Comptech supercharger that loved to be revved all the way to 9200RPM. I made 301hp to the wheels and maxed out at 171mph with about 1800 RPM left to redline. At that point I was hindered by aerodynamics.

In an F-Type you'll need at least 450rwhp to crack 200mph, and even then you'll need a long stretch of road.
In comparable vehicles of size & weight, 320rwhp will get you about 170mph (which is more or less what the V6 is putting to the wheels)
