The Canadian Contingent Grows with another 6sp
Picked up my pride and joy earlier this week...
V6S 6sp
Premium and Vision pks
Black pack
20" Tornado wheels.
Performance seats
Super Perf Braking
Huper Optik Ceramic tint
I've driven several manual cars over the past few years (the last being Porsche's 7sp on the 911), and Jag's tranny is actually pretty good. A little rubbery and not as smooth, but easy to flick and the throws are not too long.
The clutch is taking some time to get used to though. Low engagement and a wide slip band.
Unfortunately, the dead pedal sucks. I find it too cramped, and not as comfortable.
Not sure why many were concerned about the lack of pops and gurgles on the 6sp, they seem to be present ... even at low rpms.
Just lift off the throttle (even at 2500 rpm) and you're serenaded but a series of pops... love it.
Thanks to all on this forum for the help and info when placing my order and helping track it. Now that it's here, time to enjoy....

Same minor annoyance with the Auto. Although with only 2 pedals, I find that I can fully extend my left leg alongside the brake pedal when I want to stretch.

There will be another 6 sp on the Toronto streets on Monday (picking it up Monday afternoon - ordered beginning of May). Base, premium, vision, ammonite grey.

Mostly through the dealer. Once the build is complete, you can track the voyage on the shipping line and ground transportation (CN in the case of Canada).
