Hi Guys,
I finally took the car out from storage. The car went into storage around 10/2019 for the winter and unfortunately it stayed asleep until 6/2022. I had no reason to take the car out during the height of the pandemic. There was nothing to do, no where open to go with the car. The car hasn't been washed/cleaned since it was put into hibernation. The car has full ceramic coating applied to the paint.
I recently got the full exhaust system from SuperSprint Italy, Sport Cats, mid pipes and the exhaust muffler. I'll have the auto tech do the install this month.
I drove mine constantly during the pandemic. Stops were not important but driving it was for my own sanity. Worked great. Glad your enjoying it again.
Yea.... I'm a little different with the car. I typically enjoy going out to various restaurants with my girlfriend or to different places including beautiful Pennsylvania. ( excluding Philly) So many wonderful places to visit in Pennsylvania. All that came to a screeching halt for me and my girlfriend up to now. Thank you my friend !
Looking real good. She looks like she was washed moments ago, that's wild. What are those black front bumper pieces on the left and right? Hope you have many great journeys sooner rather than later, making up for that lost time with her.
They are front splitters, I had them installed in place of the wimpy tiny stock splitters. Yes, the last time the car was washed was in November 2019. Obviously the car was kept indoors in the storage facility but still ..... I am very surprised it looks the way it does.
I bought my jag in August 2019 and I was not going to let the Covid lockdown stop me from enjoying my new jag. I drove it all thru the lockdown and enjoyed every minute. Great roads by me and I was “quarantined “ in my car! Didn’t need anything other than great scenic roads. Wow two years.
That's a beautiful F Type. In storage from October of 2019 until this month ? Did you have Stabil in the gas and have it connected to a battery tender ? Did you give it a kiss to wake it up like Sleeping Beauty ? I would have.

Hi Dwight,
Yes, definitely poured STABIL pink fluid stabilizer into the tank back in November 2019. I normally do that every winter for it's winter hibernation. Didn't know or expect I'd leave it in storage for two years due to the pandemic. The car started right up, no issues. I had a battery tender hooked up to the front motor battery connection points. Trickle charge for 2 years and the battery is perfectly fine.
Thank you for the compliment.
My F-Type arrived February 2021 though I was unable to get it on the road (registry covid restrictions) till March.
Since then it has become our drive-anywhere, road-trip car and has really taken the edge off of covid isolation.
We put 8K miles on last year and are now at 12K.
We just love driving the car and now just go out for a drive when there is absolutely no practical reason.
Sorry about "wasting" precious gas.
Whether the car is in the garage or on the road, it is a (rapidly) depreciating asset - might as well use it!!

My car has 11,000 miles on the clock. And it still has an extreme new car smell. I'm getting the SuperSprint exhaust system put on this month and I will drive the hell out of it for sure !

Is that Storm gray? Looks like my 2016R. Can I ask where you got the splitters?
Hi Whatsnext,
yes it is Storm Grey color. My car is a 2017 model.
Sure, I'll tell you where I got the splitters. I did so much research to find the best looking parts for the car. Both the front lower bumper splitters and the rear wing. Everyone who sees the car, thinks the rear wing is an OEM factory part because the flow lines of the rear wing are the same as the lines of the rear section of the car. It's perfect. The splitters are a much beefier version of the factory splitters.
I will tell you, the parts are premium parts priced at a premium cost. You get what you pay for.
Well worth it in my opinion.
Good luck my friend.
Here you are;
You've been away from your F-Type longer than I've owned mine. I couldn't imagine not driving it for almost 3 years! Did you have any stable mates to hold you over?

The entire time of the pandemic, I drove my Ram 250 Power Wagon. Truthfully, I love this pick-up truck. The infotainment screen/system is fantastic !
The F-Type was my solice through the pandemic. If you heard news reports that traffic was down but speeding was up through that period, it was me.
(I may have had "Welcome to the Machine" or "Crosstown Traffic" cranked, as well.)
