Default Car at terminal/Early pick up?

Will get a call in 30 minutes to see about picking her up a day early as container arrived at local terminal this morning. Still unclear as to whether the car will be "prepped" and ready for pick up at some point today. "Prep" was the quote the rep used so I asked what the hell "prep" meant and she couldn't give me a clear answer. It must simply mean paperwork because I'm sure they don't wash the cars or anything of that nature.

In any case, the near month long fiasco is nearly over and worse case is I get the car tomorrow.

Recap: Car leaves Boston May 20th, hits Cali June 7th, pick up 8th.

Moral of the story, fully weigh time/cost options and make a decision accordingly. I saved about 50% off hauling cost (enclosed) but at the end of the day, lost about 10 days in the process. Say @ $75 a day, was it worth it? You have to decide for yourself. For me, I would have liked to have chosen a different option.

I'll drive her a bit to get acquainted then off the the wrap shop to get the three chrome areas (window trim, grill trim, fender louvers) wrapped in black carbon. My apportionment was last Thursday!

Soon this will all be in the past.

That's great news! A couple of hours behind the wheel and you'll forget about the transportation issues. And you'll have more money in your pocket for gas and beers. Go out and enjoy the new car.

Prep involves a lot more than paperwork. It involves stripping of the protective paper and other transportation protection, updating the flash, setting the defaults to your specifications, washing the car (don't let them), etc.

No bro, it's a used car going to the transpo terminal. Nothing to do with a dealer. She just uses that term "Prep" to act like they're doing something extra to prepare the car for the customer but is just verbal BS to stall. The car was on a train in a container.

Anyways the truth is the car will be available to be picked up tomm morning as long as their's no other incompetency to interfere with this latest target date.

I have the attention span of a gnat. Forgot it was used, so here's the correct explanation:

Prep involves a lot more than paperwork. It involves rinsing the bird crap off the car.

LOL, And even if it was new, the tranport company wouldn't be the ones prepping.
