I added in the ribs in the center. These can be painted silver or I will investigate decals that have the brushed appearance.
I like having a small area for lettering of some sort of Jaguar name plating etc. as an option. I rendered it with supercharged as well as without.
I will possibly have Supercharged, Jaguar, and maybe a few others die cut to be molded into the carbon as an option.
I left enough area in the front or rear for someone to add the Jaguar emblem if desired. I'm liking how this looks though. Obviously, the appearance will be carbon. My engineering software isn't working ideally when I try to render the realistic carbon.
Another option is The three bars in center could be colored to match the end users body color.

I'll clip and add it into an engine bay image for final approval. If everyone is happy with the design, I'll move forward with the making the mold.
Broth, I use a Prepreg that is cured in a vacuum chamber.
I'm finalizing the small forming details to the design now. I'll have it complete by next week and send out for to my machine shop for quoting the tooling. Then its just a matter of biting the bullet for the mold. I need to make a small mold for the pedestals that mount it but that should be easy.
I'm planning on having final parts by the end of next month. Price point is dependent on tooling cost and carbon. My assumption is right around 900-1200 range. Just depends on amount of carbon and the tooling costs.
Waiting on Hendricks to wrap up the others parts so they can jump on the cover next. We've been a little delayed with Daytona right around the corner. I spoke with the director at Hendricks today and their carbon department is rushing out parts for the race team. Things will ease up next week. I know they have about 4-5 more hours on the other parts to be complete. Then I'll verify mold for cover with them. I'll give another update next week once they free themselves up.
Once this cover is complete, the F-type carbon induction is next on the list.
I went to go buy another newer XKR this week but they sold it before I got there. I'm considering an F-Type so that I may jump on more parts for you guys.
I just spoke with the guys yesterday and they are back on my parts this coming Monday. Things should be more streamlined for the rest of the year. Daytona always slams the shops around here in Feb. I will have the engine bay covers complete next week. We are thinking Wed-Friday. Then I will have them start on CNC'ing the cover plug/mold for the engine cover. I'm working on the pedestal mold design now that the cover sits on.
Additionally, I just added an XF to the Jaguar family for more development and design projects.

The molds for both Satin finish and gloss finish are complete with the surrounding panels. I will have photos posted shortly. I'm just verifying the process and steps to ensure I wan't to pull the trigger on the engine cover mold with the same process.
Pertaining to a Carbon bumper similar to the Project 7, it is doable. Only depends on volume and as you can expect this is not a cheap part to produce in carbon. Few thousand per part I would assume.
Great, a few thousand as in $2K or as in $10K, would you guess? If people want t clean up the nose and remove the bar, it may be a superior solution to trying to snag Project 7 spares from the UK.

It would all depend on complexity of the mold. Certainly would be an expensive mold to design and machine. A ball-park thought would be anywhere from 2500-5500$ for a Nose/fascia in Carbon Fiber. I certainly would love to design one to eliminate the obtrusive bar. As well as, a nicely louvered carbon hood. I do have the capability to machine large high quality molds.
As I progress with each Carbon design, we can deliberate on which parts you guys want next. I'm sure this will be one that will be on the list.
Once I have the engine panels and covers complete we can start a poll on which parts to start next. What I'm thinking is once you guys have photos and products to view the quality of what will be presented, we can speed things up.
