Default Cargo Cover Broken Rope

One of the strings that hold up the cargo cover was accidentally cut in half. While one still holds up the cover I would like to mend the broken string. Does anyone have any inventive tips on how to do so?

I believe the string is nylon cord. If so, call a blind company (eg Next Day Blinds) and ask them to have a tech splice the cord. They have a special tool to do that.

A dab of the thick Gorilla Glue on each end and let it cure overnight...
