I'm in Lancaster...and that's even if I can still register! Did you just call?
I just emailed them a scanned copy of the Car Entry Registration hoping that would work.
Yup - I just gave them a call. Nice woman. She said the "registered cars" need to be on the field between 9 and 11.
I'm thinking we won't arrive until around 10 or 10:30.... kids... ya know, they have to get their beauty sleep...
Yeah, I was thinking of arriving around 10:30 and it's about a 40min trip for me.
Not sure of the route you're planning from Malvern west, but us two R coupes could meet up some place along the way if you wanted. Or if you aren't flexible b/c of the kids, we'll just meet up there. Apparently, the cars are grouped together depending on country of origin.

Pretty fair bet we will have no trouble recognizing each other's cars.

LOL--No, I know. I was just sharing that the cars are grouped by country apparently for the first time this year. I guess they may have been scattered about in prior years.
No, they are usually staged like German, Italian, British, American cars etc ...
here is a shot of the British section two years ago, don't have any from last year handy ... you can see the German row behind that and then the American row peak through ...
however you may end up in a different area if you come much later than when the staging starts and there is no more room in your section. It is not a very big area ...

Thanks Schwabe.
As per the email I received after I registered:
Vehicle setup/registration is from 9AM - 11 AM
We're going to have things set-up just a bit differently this year. When you arrive you will head toward the right hand side of the drive and continue around to the back of the Museum building - staying on the left hand side of the roadway.
Pre-registration will be on the left and day of show registration will be on the right but everyone will be directed on to the show field parking area from the rear of the Museum. We will be attempting to park vehicles by country as many have requested.
that pulling behind the museum is different, it used to be you come in, get your package and where directed directly to the rows and then people there appointed you the parking spot. Nonetheless have fun. Museum is cool too, you get tickets for that in your package and has been different every year I went.
I plan on still going. The rain has left the central York area and it's not raining in hershey now. Those of you coming from the east will run through the last of it but that's why I'm bringing some towels and the spray! Shouldn't be too bad. The afternoon is going to be perfect
yeah. It's still raining up here so I'm not going to make the 165 mile each way treck in it. I'm going to try and make it to Steel Stacks tomorrow for coffee and cars. Take plenty of pictures of the outstanding cars and drive safe!
While it rained a bit on the way there necessitating some arrival cleaning the sun came out as we got there and the afternoon was beautiful. Over 110 cars were registered but only about 60 made it. Weather I'm sure kept some away. Jaguar was well represented and we had 4 FT's there, three of which are forum members, Kief, Flinger and myself. There was a FType from Ontario but I only met him briefly. Here are some photos of the forum family. Next post will have some of the others.
Kief! Watch that sunburn!
Flinger! Fighting the pollen was an uphill battle my friend.
Our Ontario brother who must remain nameless.....sorry I just don't remember it!
Looks like it was a lot of fun and turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. Wish it would've been like that all day. sorry I missed it, but thank you Marko for posting the pictures of those beautiful cars.
Marco - so glad you took some pictures... actually, I completely forgot to do it!
It was great to see you and Ryan today. Turned out to be a spectacular day, uh?
Of course - I had to spend the first 30 minutes cleaning Oz since I had to drive in the rain for about an hour.
First shower Oz has had. It was hilarious - my son was busting on me as we backed out of the garage about getting my baby wet. Then I couldn't figure out how to turn the dang windshield wipers on! I had never actually turned them on until day - 5 months into owning the thing.
Oh, and the BRG.... it needed a good cleaning when we got there. But, we got Oz all gussied up, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, Ryan. Great car. Love the white - was my first choice until my kids convinced me to move to BRG. Great to meet you and look forward to many adventures around Chester and Lancaster County with Marcio and others!
It was great meeting Marko and Gary as well. Can't wait to get together again and participate in some other events with everyone. Really bummed I can't make the Maine trip with you guys. I've only spoken to Jay on the phone and he seems like a really nice guy.
Yeah, the sun got the better of my bald head yesterday! Leaving in the morning with rain, I totally forgot to bring a hat. Paying the price this morning. My buddy finally arrived around 1:00, but by then, the event was ending and I had to take shelter from the sun. Felt bad he came out for only 20 minutes or so. Sorry I missed you before I left Gary.
One of the best parts yesterday was right before we left. A Lamborghini was parked in front of me and was putting on a show with his exhaust and a crowd gathered. Once he stopped, I decided to start my car and give a few good revs. As I revved it, everyone turned around and was shocked to hear this cat's meow--"is that you the mouthed!" Actually sounded better than the Lambo IMO!!! These high school kids come running over and start videoing and oohing and ahhing over my Jag--priceless. I'm probably on YouTube somewhere!
I'll post a few other pics I took, but Marko pretty much summed it up
100% agree about the sound. I saw that. It was hilarious watching all those kids just leave the Lambo to flock around the unpretentious - real thing...
And a quick search on YT yields this (not the reaction noted above, but still a good look at the various cars). The Austin Powers guy was REALLY in to his Shaguar:
