JAGUAR FTYPE CENTER AIR DEFLECTOR FRONT BUMPER OEM FACTORY T2R4160
Mine has been scrapping for the last 3 years, but now one side is loose and hanging down even more and getting distorted. Screw plug has pulled out.
I just took it off and wondering if I really need it. I know the part isn't a lot of money, but really, if I put a new one back on, the same thing will happen. I don't think it really protects a lot (as it bends forward), does it?
What do others do that have experienced this problem?
Thanks,
John

It's lasted for 2 years, so spending $40 to put a new one on shouldn't be a burden. I like having it there to serve as a warning not to push my luck on steep driveway or ramp transitions. You can always back out of a slow speed situation without threat to the real bodywork. Without the whisker, you hear something, you're screwed.

I would add one point, if it's loose and hanging down it's more likely to detach itself at higher speeds.
A previous car I owned had a problem with fixing for the engine undertray.
At high speeds it would act as an air scoop due improper fixtures, at very high speeds it broke and detached itself in a rather explosive manner.
