Question Center air vent removal

Hey guys, I have a slight problem cosmetically with the car. After sitting in the sun without shade at Gwinett dealer for some problems they made earlier this year, the center air vent leather cover is now bubbling. I don't think they would pay for it since it did have some shrinkage before the car was handed to them. I want to see if anyone here knows how that piece goes off from the car. I'll try to make it into matte forged carbon if it can be easily removed(not tearing down the whole dash).

This may help with understanding the parts and removal? Not my work, I found and saved from the web some time back.

Good luck,
DC

Nice document. Vents that wouldn’t retract (without pushing on them) were a common feature of the first model year, fixed under warranty.
