That seems to be the case with my 2020 Vert.

I have a dash carpet(a necessity here in S.W. Fla for sun protection) and at first thought the fibers might be clogging the mechanism. The dealer checked on two occasions and found nothing clogging or restricting anything. At least the problem is logged into my service record for later reference??
YES i had the vent replaced last year, now my F type's in the shop again for the same issue right now - luckily the part has a 1 yr warranty. I think it's due to not using the car much...

In the case of my own car, the pivot points between the pivot pins and the little dog bone shaped connectors that are involved in raising the unit become too tight, seemingly
through heat expansion. The solution is to remove the vent, remove the pivot pins, slightly open up the holes in the dog bones were the pins pivot, Lune it, put it back together and install part. I did that to mine serval years ago and have not had a problem since.
