Default Ceramic brake pads...

Anyone have to replace a set yet? I'm guessing no. The car hasn't been out that long. I am retiring the F-type from track duty (I never intended it to be track toy but it's addicting to throw the car around). After four track days I believe I have diminished the time I have left on these pads significantly. I'm guessing those track days are about to become pricey (as are all track days).

I ordered and just received stop-tech posi quiets as well as cross drilled slotted rotors for the front of my 15 f-type coupe R. Hopefully will be getting them installed in the next couple of days. I will post further when I know more....

Would you be able to share what the Centric Posi Quite part number is for front and rear? Are you just doing Posi-Quiet front or front/rear?

These are the ones I found for the front. I called Stop-tech and this was the number they said I needed. I have not looked into the rears as of yet. Hope that helps.

Just as a side note I bought my 15 pre-owned with only 5200 miles on the clock. A week into owning it I started getting a shudder from the front wheels when braking pretty much self diagnosed as a warped rotor. Then about a week later I was poking around the nav system in the car and found "previous destinations" one of which was Laguna Seca Mazda raceway. LOL probably was the beginning of the end of the factory pads and rotors.

I looked up the pads on the Centric site. Unfortunately for me these are the metallic and not ceramic pads. Hopefully Centric will release Posi-Quiet Ceramic pads.

If they make ceramics, they should have a '105' prefix on the part number, in place of the 104. Currently they don't make them as far as I can see.

They *do* make ceramics for the BASE F-Type fronts: 105.17510

Did anyone ever have any success fitting ceramic pads on their F-Type?

Wondering the same. Nothing wrong with my factory pads just getting tired of cleaning brake dust all of the time.

Good braking performance or low dust. You choose.

I run Hawk performance ceramics on my Corvettes and ran EBC ceramics on the Ferrari F430 I used to own. For a street car the braking performance is just fine. On the track, yes it may be different although I had no degradation coming down from 120-140 after 5 lap intervals at Talladega with my C6 Corvette equipped with the Hawk ceramics. To each their own. I hate cleaning up brake dust every time I drive.

Default Also fed up with Brake Dust

Did some research on ceramic replacements and found that "TRW" seems to make them for my 14 F V8S. I recall their website is TRWaftermarket I think.
Hope this helps.
