This 2014 document says you can activate and deactivate Maintenance Mode without SDD (towards the end of the document.)

The company I am dealing with in the UK is going to have a full set of CCB for sale. The set should be less painful for the next person as he and I both learned what was truly needed for this conversion. His setup would come with take off products including 4 calipers, fur ccb rotors, two rear adapter brakes brackets and two rear parking calipers. Let me assure you the install is easy but the setup is not cheap. I will be happy to detail all the required additional part numbers required from JLR. I hope this does not spur more opinions of what you could do better with your money, but I offer this to assist anyone else that just has to have the CCB set up 'cause they want it!

Assuming you bought new wheels, as i did, already having tires and tpms, you are going to be spending guessing 5-6k us for brake set up, 2k for the wheels is the silver storms I got if they are still out there and 1500-2k in hardware(bolts brake hoses, bolts, clamps etc.)

Again, the conversion is quite easy, but you need the correct hardware. So quick math is 8 to 10k. If you get used wheels and could buy the set up for 5 and not 6K, maybe you do it for 8k. Obviously what the factory charges at 12k, if that is the going rate, is pretty good if you are buying a new car. Food for thought!

Did you try mounting the Gyrodyne wheels after installing the CCB calipers? I'm just curious as to how much more clearance is required to clear the CCB calipers.

I did not. I have the Gyrodynes boxed up. Maybe wheel spacers, but I have never wanted to extend my weight further out from the hubs than the factory specs. I can tell you that the Storm wheels really bellow outward and they run very close to the CCB calipers. No way Gyrodyne would work. Wheels are really the least of the expense. You can buy a set of remanufactured Storms in the U.S for about 300.00 each. I just wanted new and the Storm Silver were so inexpensive. List 540 usd and with help from dealer, I paid 450.00 each.

Thanks for that! I'm debating if this is a project that I want to undertake. Need to factor in costs for wheels now.

The company that supplied my CCB kit has another take off kit available. Approximately 6300.00 USD. I am not promoting but saying the company has been super helpful, responsive and excellent follow through. PM me for their contact info. Did not feel appropriate to promote in general forum. Here is the picture set the sent me.

Ladies and Gentleman, I have brakes. Torqued everything up tonight and to her out in the rain. Parking brakes work great. Hill brake works great. Going to take to dealer to look over my work, do a good bleed of the system, but guardedly, I declare project complete!

Congratulations!!!. Thanks for the info you pm'd earlier today. How hard would it be for you to list the part numbers for all the ancillary pieces (hoses, bolts, etc.) that were required for the project?

You sir have won the internet again. Please post your overall impressions. Pedal feel? Bite? Handling? Any fault lights? Did you manage to trigger the ABS while testing? I hope to do this in the future.

Default Other bits required

I have carried out the fitting of the carbon ceramic brakes to my 2014 V8 S.
I'm struggling to locate a part. It's the guide for the electric cable feeding the electric parking brake cable to keep it away from the half shaft etc.
It bolts to the top of the hub and I can't find it on any drawings.
If anyone has the factory ceramic set up and has a picture I would be very grateful

hmm, I used harness wire from old caliper connection. It has two isolater grommets on the cable. I popped one isolater out of the bracket while leaving other one still in its socket. Seems to work fine. My routing is no where near half shaft. Cable drops downward from wishbone such that it does not get close to the axle. Trick is to attach harness wire to parking brake caliper before you bolt calipers to the bracket.

Thanks for the advice I'll take a look and see what I can do. I have had great help from Hatfields in Sheffield in relation to parts and they seem genuinely interested and want to help. There must be a bracket but I'm keen to get my car back on the road. This is the top of the rear hub where the mystery bracket would fit.

Default Problems

I have got the ceramics on and it all works but the ABS isn't happy. I had to change the rear sensors for the longer Ines from the SVR. Is the ABS unit able to be re calibrated by jaguar or is it a different ABS unit !!!!!

I can only see one ABS modulator listed for all brake variants. The wheel speed sensors are the same at the front (only RWD/AWD are different), with the rears either w or w/o CCM brakes as you know.

Do you get any codes with your symptoms? You could try changing the braking system in the CCF and reflashing the ABS software to see if it loads a different profile. Hopefully Stwsam can tell you if that was needed or not (can't see why it would be, but these cars are primarily computers nowadays). Is there any chance the modulator was drained or might have air in its circuits from the work? It might be worth running through the ABS bleed routine in SDD/Pathfinder if that may have happened. Triple check the wheel speed sensors are all aligned correctly and check the electrical connectors.

That bracket you are missing, could it be T2R16023/4?
