Default CF Mirror Covers

I am considering having the CF wing mirror covers installed on my car - does anyone have recommendations for the cheapest place to purchase them from?

I would just get them wrapped. IMO they're just too pricey for what they are. I have a Polaris White coupe and had the covers wrapped in gloss black vinyl for a more streamlined appearance. Dirt cheap too...paid $60 to get it done.

agreed.. I think wrapping them would be cheaper even if you choose carbon fiber wrapping compared to gloss black. Once I get my car back from stereo overhaul I'm probably going to head over to the vinyl shop for the mirror wrapping in gloss black and possibly the lettering on the boot wrapped in gloss black.

If you look on eBay at the moment you will see a couple of different listings that claim to be the OEM covers but are not. There is even one that claims they are genuine and to watch out for Chinese knock-offs. Now I have no idea if the non-OEM ones are any good or not, but be sure you know what you are buying if you are paying OEM prices.

The best way to tell is that the OEM covers are entirely carbon fibre with the clips glued on - they are not overlayed onto the normal plastic covers. When you pick them up they weigh next to nothing as a result.

Wrap is good. I purchased Mina Designs overlays. Easy to put on and reasonable compromise for the price. Nobody notices they are over the original surfaces.

I have the OEM carbon fiber covers on my XKRS, they look fantastic, the Mina pieces do not even come close. They are pricey and seem to slowly go up in price. Only worth it if you keep the car for a while or then sell them separately on ebay to recoup some of the cost. I recommend to have them wrapped in xpel before installing.
