change brake pads
hi i have a light that says brake pads are old
so my porsche shop have pagid and i ask him if they are available for f-type
can you help me ?
i check the vin and it says ; Brake calipers: Red brake calipers; Brakes: Performance;

You first need to find out which brake pad warning has triggered, front or rear, to help work out which pads might need changing.
The low pad warning system is pretty crappy really, it doesn't tell you which end and sometimes it gives a false warning.
The only way to be sure is to whip a wheel off from each end and do a manual inspection of the pads, and especially the inner pads, as they are the ones with the wear sensors and the inner pads wear faster than the outer pads.
Then, once you have figured out if you need new pads or not and which end (it is possibly both ends), you need to find out what size brakes you have.
Two variants on the front, 380 mm (R and S) and 355 mm (base) and two variants on the rear, 376 mm (R) and 326 mm (S and base).
But these are the standard brake set-ups and both the S and base could be optioned up to the R spec and the base could be optioned up to S spec.
Base spec is called "performance", S spec is called "high performance" and R spec is called "super performance".
Surest way is to measure the disc/rotor diameters when the wheels are off but experienced Jag owners can tell just by looking at the car, if you post a photo of a front caliper and another of a rear caliper we can help you.
You should also check the thickness and condition of the rotors especially as it is not unknown for the protruding "lip" of a well worn rotor to cut the brake pad warning sensor and trigger the warning.

Good news - cheapest brake pad replacement cost.
Bad news - the smallest/weakest F-Type brakes (but they are plenty good enough for every day driving).

I'm not sure they are the correct part numbers, massive confusion and conflicting results when I Google those numbers.
Instead you are better off searching for "Jaguar F-Type front brake pads 355 mm" and "Jaguar F-Type rear brake pads 326 mm".

Indietor, what year F-Type S do you have? I didn't think that the V6S was offered with anything less than the High Performance brakes (380mm fr, 326mm rr). If you pm me the last 5 digits of your VIN along with the full model description (year, cyl., base/S/R, wheel diameter) , I will be able to confirm part numbers for you.

I would bet real money it is the rear pads as in my experience and research the Jag rears wear twice as fast as the fronts.
Except that I note in one of the OPs pics the outer "face" of the rear brake pad looks almost new it is so clean, so maybe the rear pads were renewed not long ago?
