Check engine light after flat tire

Morning all, So I had a flat on the left rear after a nail got impaled. Anyway, 850 bucks later, a rural Canadian Tire got me a new MPS4S the following day. However the check engine light is persistent with a warning for left rear ABS system. The mechanic said they weren’t able to clear the warning. Brakes seem to be working fine. Anyone have experience with this?
Cheers.

How many miles were on the old tires? If they were more than half worn the tire circumference (diameter) of the new unworn tire might be throwing things off. Normally you would at least change both tires on the front or the back if one bad tire had to be changed out and the old tires were more than half worn. A lot of car/tire manufacturers recommend changing out all the tires on an AWD car if the old tires are heavily worn.

Dunno about the tread imbalance. I was in the back country when my rear tire sidewall got sliced. Only option was to put on a wrong size tire that fit the rim in order to drive it the rest of the trip and get back home. Spirited driving for two more day with different sized tires on the rear of my RWD car and never got any warnings.
