2014 V8S 26235 miles,
Went in for annual #8 service and during inspection the 2 rear tie rod assemblies (C2D51044) and stabilizer links (C2D49528 + 29) boots were compromized and leaking grease as well as quite alot of play in the linkages. The tires didn't show any unusual wear so that was the good news...
I'm sure heat has something to do with it as I live in central Texas and the last 3 months have been record setting.
When I do the yearly oil change (by draining the sump the old fashioned way ) I spray all the rubber joint covers with silicone lube or AT-205. On other cars, this practice has served me well, not suffering any splits over 15 - 25 years!
On some cars I inject grease into the linkage boots with a needle attachment on a grease gun.
Gotta do SOMETHING to pass the time while the oil drains....
