Default Checking oil

New to F-type, tried checking oil today. Can it be that the only way to check oil is via the screen between speedo and tach? My steering wheel switches are unopened, awaiting a part from the UK, quoted 3 weeks shipping. Is it safe to drive?

I think it's possible to read the oil level via the OBD port - maybe someone more knowledgeable will be along to advise. But be aware of the possible battery drain, depending on how the OBD device disconnects.

That’s become the way of the future…do away with the dip stick and measure electronically. The M/B’s have it, but you can read it while the engine is running, stopped or at any speed. My prior Corvettes still had the dip stick, which I like. God help us if the electronics in that system screw up and you get false or no read!
