Default Chrome Bonnet Louver Installation

My chrome bonnet Louvers have arrived. My car is getting its clear bra, so I can't go look at it...

Are these easy to install myself or do I need dealer assistance?

My recollection is that the Louvers are high up when the bonnet is opened...

My understanding is that they simply clip out; and I will let someone who has done so provide you with more detailed information but surely - to answer your question - no dealer assistance is needed.

Best regards,

Shame on me for not searching first. Foosh answered the question in another thread.

My only concern is that I'm not tall and I remember those Louvers being high...

Pictures below are in bright sun, so perhaps a little hard to see the full effect, but they look great. I love the J-Blade feature of the louver emulating the J-Blade in the headlight.
FWIW: if you're interested, when I ordered last week said the dealer said they were on sale. FA la la la la laaaaaa, la la la la!

I recommend using some painters tape and tape on the outside so they do not fly off when you pop them off.

many parts can be found at steep discount on ebay from dealers who had them in stock for a while and want to get rid of them.

.
Are you suggesting that, with proper aim, I might be able resolve the problem of the raccoon living in my garage?

HaHa...so you'd be really surprised to learn I grew up in Alabama then...but born not far from you!

Yes, if you can change a lightbulb, you can do this.

You simply pinch each set of clips on the underside until they release. I was able to reach around with my other hand and hold the loose louver from the top, so it didnīt fall and impact the hood. If your arms are too short, a second person can hold from the outside. The louvers will come out completely undamaged and reusable, and the clips are very flexible.

It took more time to clean the dirt that had collected under the old louvers than it did to change both of them.

I would also suggest that when you snap in the chrome ones, that you seat each clip with your finger on the inside by lightly pushing out. Polish the louvers. They attract dust unlike the car which has been polished.
