Does anyone have any tips to clean & shine up the F-Type Supercharger main body (aluminum is it?)? The photo below is just a stock photo, mine looks just a bit more stained and a bit duller. I've seen other photos where the Supercharger is super Clean & Shiny!!
I've just cleaned and treated all the plastic covers and parts under the hood (including the engine cover) with Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat which turned out great (it all looks brand new), now I just need to get that Supercharger gleaming!
Thanks mates ;-)
The only thing I have seen done with the supercharger was to polish the intercooler. User UNHINGD polished his. You can see it in the thread below. I am unsure if he did it himself or had it done.

He bought a used cover and sent it out to a specialist shop to get done, then swapped it with his original cover.
Nice post for sure, his shop did a great job of it! I'll be cleaning it while it's on the car so it will never look like that, I'll just do what I can with my small drill pads and anything that will clean up aluminum.
I'm a bit OCD as well, and I think that your pic in the first post looks good 'as is'. (Except for a small bit of discoloration in the aluminum on the left front corner.)
On mine I wanted to give the SC a bit more breathing space while covering up the sides, front oil filter and rear symposer and I had red paint handy so that was what I did.
I'm not sure there is any good way to make the superchargers on our cars look good, but I think a few people have removed the cover and had it powder coated. That looked a little better.
Since I don't race mine I'm not that worried about heat soak so I choose to keep a super charger cover, just in Carbon Fiber to match the rest of the Carbon Fiber trim under the hood.
It would have been cool if Jaguar had done the supercharger cover in an anodized gold color, in homage to the way the E Type engines were finished in gold with polished valve covers.
But I sure wouldn't want to go to the trouble to remove mine just to paint or powder coat it.
In ultimately answering my own question here, Mothers 05100 Mag & Aluminum Polish worked great in cleaning and shining up my Supercharger Cover...
*Used a 1.5-inch orange buff pad on my drill and a toothbrush, then wiped off with a towel soaked with warm water (until no more blackness was coming off on the towel).
Wrapping up my "Under Hood Clean Up" project, I used Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat to restore the plastic all around the engine bay...
All done... I'm happy now! I know this is not a major project here, but maybe these few tips might help someone else out who just wants to clean up their engine bay a bit.
