Default Clear bra installation

Any experiences with the application of a good clear bra/coat installation on the F-Type (3M, etc)?

Do any of the Bay Area peeps know if a good installer? (North bay, or SF preferred)

There are many installers in the Bay Area and many different paint protection films to choose from. That said, it's important to note that not all films are created equally. Here are some important things to look for when choosing a clear bra paint protection film.

- Check the warranty length, some 5, 7 and even 10 years.
- How durable/thick is the film? Most are industry standard at around 8-8.5mils thick while others are 6-6.5mils thick. A thicker film will be more durable against rock chips, road debris, and more.
- Is the film stain resistant? Will it yellow? Technology these days has allowed paint protection films to be better than ever, this includes having a film that is warrantied against yellowing.
- Is the film self-healing? Most high end films on the market today are, but not all so be sure to check.

Once you've chosen a film, next is the installer. With paint protection film, half the battle is choosing a quality installer. Be sure to
- Ask to see examples of their work
- Ask if they will wrap edges for a cleaner and more seamless installation
- Ask if they will remove badges, hood vents, etc to wrap inside for a cleaner, and more seamless installation.

Hope this info helps, let us know if we can help answer any questions for you.
