When I first picked up my F Type the center vent used to remain closed until additional heating / cooling was needed - it would then rise. The AC would never engage unless I switched it on.

Within the past couple of weeks the center vent rises as soon as I turn the ignition on and remains up until I switch off the car. With AC off and Auto off I get alternating blasts of ambient cabin temperature air and icy cold AC. Keeps alternating between the two.

AC is definitely off, and auto is definitely off. Checked the climate settings page and nothing odd there. Center vent set to automatic, haven't selected airflow to any particular zone.

Anyone else had problems with the climate control?

 

Not any problems for me at this point. Sounds like an issue for the warranty coverage.
