Cold start noise

Cold start noise
Hi everyone, hoping someone might have some more info on the noise I’m hearing from my f-type. Mostly on cold starts (under 55 Fahrenheit) I get a noise from the front passenger side super charger area which sounds like a whine that goes high and low consistently for about 5 minutes until the engine is heated (which is why I think it’s belt related). My local Jag dealer did multiple cold starts and said they didn’t hear anything abnormal. It doesn’t affect any driving
systems other than being annoying and loud. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I can hear a slight scraping noise. Quite rhythmical and around once per second.
Not normal and not a sound I have heard before.
Maybe it's just the "whine" going up and down in pitch, maybe it's something else.
From the description I thought it could be the infamous SC coupler/torsion isolator rattle but it's not that.
My best guess is a worn SC bearing or SC belt tensioner or worn SC belt idler pulley, with SC bearing at the top of the list. My next suspect would be something driven by the accessory belt, either that thing itself or a bearing inside of it, eg the AC compressor or the alternator
As the first of these are SC related I would do as NBCat advised but with a slight variation - remove the SC belt first and see if the noise goes away, if it does then you have narrowed it down to something related to the SC, if the noise persists then put the SC belt back on and remove the accessory drive - "serpentine" - belt and check again. Also, before and after removing either belt, try using a car stethoscope to see if you can narrow down the source/cause of the noise.

Not seen that one, my info comes from the excellent Iain Tyrrell channel. Rumours of them using a Ferrari clutch seems to be not entirely untrue!
