Default Which color is it in the video by Chris Harris?

This is a nice review of the F Type:

I love the color but I'm unsure if it's ultimate black, ebony or stratus grey. It even looks kind of blueish sometimes. Hope you guys could help me out.

That's my favorite YouTube F-Type review. I had a hard time deciding which color. At first I thought it was a Dark Sapphire. After I read this post I watch it and now I'm undecided.

Both are very dark colors. I've never seen the Sapphire in person. The Stratus grey's I have seen didn't have any blue undertones in the metal flake, so I thought Chris' review was the first Sapphire I was seeing.

Well, great; now another color choice to add to my indecisiveness.

Polaris to Italian Racing Red to Stratus Grey and now to Sapphire Blue ---- all because the Black Pack is now universally available.

Good post, I think we have a winner.

Damn, I was so sure I wanted an ultimate black, but now I'm leaning to a dark sapphire.

Anyone seen it in person? If it looks like in the video - really black with a hint of dark blue in the sun, I think the choice is obvious. But if it looks very blueish I think the ultimate black has a meaner look.

I've seen it in person. It's stunning. It's a xyrillic paint color so it has really terrific lustre.
It doesn't look mean... More aggressive/classy than murdered aggressive.
Sapphire was my favorite exterior color. The only reason I picked stratus grey (a close second for me) was that I preferred the interior palette with the stratus but even now I'm still on the fence.

Is Stratus Gray xyrillic paint also?

Has anyone looked at the black amethyst color/colour? Cars.com has a couple of 2013 Ultimate Jags which IIHO look quite nice.

I saw a dark sapphire on an XKR at the dealer yesterday. I wasn't very impressed it looked very plain and without much spark (it was inside for the defense). I would assume its the same exact color if you get it on the f type. Too bad, it looks so much better in the video or in the car configurator.

The car configurator on the Jaguar site doesn't show the car's true colors.

Sapphire hunters, check out the "Wild wheel combinations" thread. The first link in the first post has some nice photos. It appears the sapphire needs some light to show the blue, almost like a carbon black on a BMW.

I think there's a used convertible in Black Amethyst at my local dealer (parked outside service bay). Was admiring it in the late afternoon sun-- looks almost like oily black. Very striking.

I'm now very, very curious what an R Coupe would look like in Lunar Gray with the Black Pack. I can't tell if it's a bluish color, a regular silver, a pearlescent silver, or just something entirely different. I'm no longer into silver or super light, flat grays anymore (been there). But, is this something different?

Yes. Those pics of the Sapphire blue car almost made me change my order. I just didn't know what color seats would go best with it. If I could've ordered the seats in "all" ivory, I'd have definitely changed my order.
