I didn't really want to take my [clean] car out considering I'm going away for almost two weeks but in the interest of allowing some of our fellow F-Typers the ability to live a little vicariously through my drive this morning...I thought...what the F.

Two things:
1) I am pleased that "my baby" is totally clean and covered while on vacation. While I could certainly live with it dirty and disgusting (although...how disgusting can anything this beautiful be? Answer: never. Regardless of how filthy it is). Clean and covered = a little peace of mind.
2) Whenever I see your post I smile. Not only because you're always so positive and enthusiastic but it reminds me of the brilliant test drive I had in my friends stunning Sapphire Blue convertible which put me on the path of my getting my coupe in the first place.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness and please stay in touch.
Best regards,
Jay

Pilot Super Sports tire and 20" Wheel UPGRADE ADVICE...
OKAY GUYS, I just got GROUND FORCE WHEELS 9"x20" Front, 10.5"x20" Rears. I chose the Michelin Super Sports. It's going on a 2000 XKR. I AM GOING TO ROLL THE FENDERS. The Super Sports are the best choice for my driving style (slightly below flat out. The out rate the 06's in dry and wet. But no snow, ever. I live in Daytona Beach, so the cold and snow/ice are NA for me. What starting place would you suggest for tire pressure guys? The car says 32 F, 34R. I'm thinking 34F, 36R? I am upgrading the brakes to EBC ROTOR & PAD Kit. Fully slotted and drilled with Yellow pads.
PS It's getting a Coyote Motor with a TVS 2300cc Supercharger.

Winter vs Summer tires. Like comparing apples to oranges. The PSSs certainly appear to be the favorite summer tire among the F-Types.
In addition to specific tire and driving styles, optimal tire pressure depends on the vehicle. You might get more informed advice over on the XK8/XKR (X-100) forum.

Yeah, I get that! But the post were older and not the current generation of Pilot Super Sports. The posts all were against the PSS's; I needed a starting base was all. I found that they recommended 32&34, which seemed low for me. That might explain the loss of mileage and excessive wear they experienced as well as their bad opinion. But then again; it's a new formulation and the super high ratings in many tests, top tire tested!

Agreed. With my PSSs, I run 37psi front and rear. 32 is way too low to run on that size tire.

Automatic Torque Biasing units like the Quaife or Torsen are far superior to the traditional friction plate LSDs that reduce independent spin under all conditions (causing premature tire wear and whose effectiveness diminishes over time as those friction plates wear). The ATBs instead act as open diffs until a torque bias ratio of about 2.1 is developed under hard cornering or heavy acceleration (only when you need it). Quaife is a solid manufacturer. I've had a Quaife in my tuned MINI for over 12 years/100k miles and its still going strong.

Now for a stupid question. Is it the same as the Mustang IRS Third Member? That would be convenient for them, as for me? I looked at the listing, it says POA (price on asking). I would assume it would be similar to other rear ends in the 700-900 pound area ($1000.-1500.). The Torsen IRS Mustang unit 2R, would be the one I would prefer, as it does not require turning off the trac. control.
