Default Convertible top getting jammed on the driver side flap

I already scheduled to bring my 2014 F-Type V8 S into the dealer next week but was hoping someone had an easy fix for this. Basically, when I try to put my convertible top down, it rubs and jams halfway down from the metal arm of the front of the top hitting the side flap right next to the drivers headrest.

Only way to bring the top down is to physically grab the flap and push it over towards the center. I jiggled the passenger side flap and it's way looser than the driver's side flap. I'm thinking something just needs to be adjusted but all I see is two long screws that I may be able to tighten/loosen but don't want to risk breaking anything.
