Couple Quick Observations 2018 Base vs. 2022 Base

Firstly, the 2022 brakes are head and shoulders better.
Secondly, the 2022 feels heavier and less nimble in the twisties.
Lastly, I miss the crackles and pops of the base 2018 although the rumble from more CIs is nice. I hope the exhaust notes develop as miles pile up, otherwise I'll ask the service department if there is an update that can be applied.
That's it for now.

Sassy Sarah, I have found that at around the 2000 mile point on the odometer, my 2021 F Type R started to get more "active", if that is a good way to describe it, regarding the exhaust sound characteristics.
Not necessarily louder but the crackles, bangs and pops became more pronounced even without the car not being in the Dynamic mode. Opening up the exhaust with the console button, putting it in the manual shift Sport mode and running the RPM's up to about 5000 and then letting off the throttle results in a satisfying cacophony from the exhaust system that emanates from just under the cabin all the way back to the exhaust tips.
I hope you are enjoying your new Jaguar.

Thanks for all the feed back guys.
I think some of it may be my impatience and the fact that I've kept the RPMs below 4k per the break-in recommendation.
I'll keep the VAP option in mind for the future. And I've also wondered if anyone has put cutouts on an F-Type--alluding to SamTheShams' mention of removing mufflers.
Yes, Dwight, I am enjoying my new F-Type.. Thanks. .I just wish when people stop to admire it they would keep their hands and foreheads off the glass.
