Default Custom Steering wheel, sharing a resources…

Thought I share this resource… I have a 2014 F-Type V6S with the standard round thin steering wheel… I had been looking for the Flat Bottom and came across this company which had the OEM flat bottom but could also customize it for me… I traded a few emails, I didn’t think I requested much change but the little extras, for me... made all the difference to use his services instead of purchasing the standard OEM version of the flat bottom Steering wheel. I used Black leather but added the perforated leather on the sides and Firesand Stitching which matches the color of my F-Type. It looks and feels excellent!... I'll have a delay on installing due to the coronavirus "Stay-at-home mandate". I was planning on having a shop do the airbag / Steering wheel removal / install... I did not want to mess with the airbag. I’ll update with more before & after pictures when completed. Here is the contact information if anyone is interested: guardiandesigns.studio@gmail.com. Here is the wheel I received... I love the look and feel!:

Wow that looks great. Did it come complete like shown in your pics with the paddle shifters or did you move your switches and paddles over?

Wheel looks great and looks like they do Quality work! Another option I have used before with excellent quality and great prices is Dallas Custom Steering Wheels. I found out about him while on the Porsche forums. Lots of people use them. I had a 997 Turbo wheel remade to specs and it came out great IMO. His process (assume he has it for Jaguars?) is, if you just want your wheel redone, he sends you one to use and you mail him yours to recover, so no down time (just another option). I think he may sell total new wheels too?

Has a website and FB page, and the guy is super nice and quick.....and will pretty much cover or use any color or materials you like on other pieces too!

Example of my 997 Turbo Wheel...(I went pretty boring But the material matched perfectly! I just wanted a fatter wheel with the thump guides. First is original and second is recovered.

Yes!... It came just like what you see in the picture, with the Paddles... This is such a great improvement over the stock leather wheel...

Good example how to recognize experienced vs. average craftsman: can we see HQ closeup of this sections?

Some could accept it on budget cars, but not new 100kUSD GT

Yes...Very thick padding and "supple" high grade softer Connelly leather. Not the harder leather usually found on steering wheels. I wanted it Fat for my big hands as indicated in my post.
Paid $1,000,000 Pesos just for the wrinkles...

Sorry I have not been able to get back to this... as with everyone the coronavirus has interrupted many original daily life-activities... I am in the process of purchasing and selling a home... On one hand a certain segment of people try to act like "Business-as-usual"... then the other set of people act like "all normal activities should stop"... I am somewhere in the middle but must navigate between the two. BACK to my Replacement Steering Wheel; These are all my opinion.. The pictures do not do the craftsmanship of this replacement wheel Justice. The leather is by far superior to the OEM Flat Bottom Leather Wheel.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to have requested and received excellent service and quality of craftsmanship. The Stitching, fit and finish is as Top quality as I have ever seen!! **** If I had received ether of the other two steering wheel in this thread I would have sent them back. I have No wrinkles, No waves, No Stretched leather or uneven seams / stitching. Again... I offer up this company as an resource that I have found to provide excellent Service... Harder and Harder to find and Trust people... Look at the pictures I just added...

Here is the Website: guardiandesigns.shop ... I'm told it will soon to be migrated to guardiandesigns.eu. I'm guessing cost would be dependent on selections of options .. thought regular price is $699 USD delivered.

$699 for a new wheel? Or is that your wheel and he just wrapped it in new perforated leather? Beautiful work. I've already sent him an email.

Cheers!

I just ordered mine from Tomasz. He lives in Poland, evidently. My build is costing me $799.00 which includes shipping and a donor wheel. I initiated the process through email. Paid via PayPal so I'm covered if things go awry (which I very much doubt)

Here's what I'm doing (reason its costing more)
- Black alcantera top and bottom
- Perforated black sides
- Yellow stitching
- Yellow 12 O'Clock leather stripe
- Heated wheel

Build time is 4 weeks + 1 week of shipping. I'll send pics in 5 loooong. weeks.

Cheers!
