Do we swap switches and spoke trim etc from our own wheel? I forgot to ask in my email.

)Spoke trim and switches (buttons) - yes. I asked him to ensure the trim pieces don't have the sticky issue. And you'll retain your airbag/horn. The pics above are a great indicator of how the wheel is received. Cheers!

Sorry, I'm being dense.

You put your own trim/switches from your existing wheel on the new wheel?

No core charge?
That's a pretty sweet deal if you get to hang on to the OEM piece.

He provides all buttons, the upper trim and lower trim pieces and the wheel. The ONLY thing you'll need to add to what comes in the mail is the horn/airbag unit. The pics above are perfect. That one looks like it just came in from UPS. In fact, here's a picture of the exact donor wheel he'll use for my build:

Guardian Designs finished my wheel and sent me these pics. I'll send more once I receive and install it. I'm pretty stoked. I paid him a little extra to paint the upper and lower trim pieces gloss black and add the yellow pin-stripe at the bottom of the wheel.

That is freaking fantastic! This is a game changer! As a sim racer, I look at wheels all day long, this is a terrific option to really get what you want! I don't mind the stock wheel, but STMPY's (except with larger paddle shifters) would be so great to have!

My wheel is now installed. I had a similar experience to the OP. This was a great value and the quality is there for sure. Strongly recommend using this guy if your steering wheel needs a little love.

I am seriously thinking of ordering a Steering wheel from these guys. I currently have a round wheel and would like a flat bottom wheel.
Will my airbag from my round wheel fit the flat bottom wheel and are the flat bottom wheels interchangeable to my steering column on my 2014 v8s?
comment on how these guys are to work with given they are overseas as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, No issues at all... no issues with getting what and how I wanted the wheel, quick turn around and the wheel itself exceeded my expectations... Just had it installed yesterday.. with the shut down I waited. It took a Independent professional "German" auto mechanic about 20 Minutes start-to-end. I had the full round stock wheel.. he supplied the flat-bottom wheel with paddles (just like whet you see in the pictures I posted above). I had to reuse only my airbag and Horn cover. Having the thicker diameter wheel and much better leather / Perforated Leather It actually makes me feel like "This is the wheel that belongs in this car"... No imperfections.. .making the stock wheel feel cheep.
I now need to get some pictures with it installed...
No hesitation on my end to recommend this service.

Anyone happen to know if SVR paddles are interchangeable with other model wheels? Would love to snag one of these, but would like to keep my larger aluminum pieces.

Hi

I received these pictures from Tomas at Guardian Designs. My wheel is shipping today. The wheel looks stunning in the pictures.
Can't wait to receive it and have it installed. As soon as the delivery date shows up I am going to setup an appointment for installation.
I will post pictures of the wheel installed as well.

I have to say Tomas at Guardian Design was great. Very responsive to questions and actually kept me informed of status along the way.
If you decide to order from them don't be afraid to ask about things you may want or have concerns about. They are will accommodate you
and any concerns you may have, that was my experience.
Short of the Wheel not showing up as pictured or not showing up at all......which is not likely to happen. I would say use Guardian Design for
your steering wheel needs. Thank you Tomas and Guardian Design!
